Julien Dreveton produced his first vintage in 2018 on Crozes-Hermitage appellation. Domaine des Louis is named in memory of his two great-grandfathers who cultivated the vines in the early 1900s. Both were called "Louis". Julien perpetuates the memory of this land for 7 generations. "All this family love, built around the land and the vines, you will find it I hope in my first cuvées of Crozes Hermitage..." - Julien On the 5.5 hectares vineyard, one of which is planted with white, Julien has done everything on vine-free soils, from the age of 24. Its young vines offer wines focused on fruit and freshness. The organic conversion will be completed in 2024. Julien finds that this viticulture allows to maintain more acidity in the grapes and the plot of apricot trees that he took over from his grandfather allows to maintain a naturally fertilized soil. Génération Crozes: Julien Dreveton is part of this new generation of winegrowers involved in a dynamic revitalization of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. On the initiative of Daphné Chave, David Combier and Raphaël Faugier, this collective focuses on strengthening links between winegrowers, but also on sharing knowledge. The studies allowed them to travel to perfect their technical learning and sharing this rich background is one of the objectives of this group. "It's great to be able to have within the appellation a friendly and atmosphere among our generation who in the future will proudly represent the CROZES! »
